Maternity Leave and Pay
- Notification: Notify Deeply Digital as soon as possible upon becoming pregnant. A risk assessment will be provided.
- Leave: You have the right to take up to 52 weeks maternity leave (26 weeks Ordinary and 26 weeks Additional). You must take at least 2 weeks of 'compulsory' maternity leave after the baby is born.
- Pay: You may be entitled to receive up to 39 weeks Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP), paid in line with statutory guidelines.
- Keeping in Touch (KIT) Days: You may agree to do up to 10 days' work during maternity leave without losing SMP. Any work done on any day counts as a whole KIT day.
- Returning to Work:
- After Ordinary Maternity Leave, you have the right to return to the same job on the same terms.
- After Additional Maternity Leave, you are entitled to return to the same job or, if not reasonably practicable, another suitable job on no less favourable terms.
- To return before the end of your AML, you must give eight weeks' notice.
- If you do not want to return, you should give notice according to your contract.
