Return to Work and Certification
- Return-to-Work Form: You must complete an 'Absence Self-Certification/Return to Work form' on the day you return to work.
- Return-to-Work Interview: Your manager will conduct a Return-to-Work Interview to discuss your absence, fitness, and any steps to assist your return.
- Absences Over 7 Calendar Days: A medical certificate (Fit Note) is required for the duration of your sickness absence.
- Persistent Short-Term Sickness is a disciplinary matter (in the absence of an underlying medical condition or reasonable excuse) and will be dealt with in accordance with the Disciplinary Procedure.
- Sickness and Holiday Link: Any sickness absence that links with a Bank Holiday or pre-arranged holiday will be investigated, and appropriate disciplinary action may be taken.
