Smoking, Alcohol, and Drugs

  • Smoking/Vaping: Only permitted during official breaks in the designated Smoking area located outside the front of the building. Employees working away must only smoke in designated areas. Failure to comply is a disciplinary offence that may lead to dismissal.
  • Alcohol and Non-Prescribed Drugs: Employees must attend work free from the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs.
  • Prohibition: Alcohol or non-prescribed drugs must not be brought onto Deeply Digital premises.
  • Sanction: Any employee found to be in possession of and/or under the influence will be suspended pending investigation. Outcomes could include summary dismissal for Gross Misconduct.
  • Screening and Search: Deeply Digital reserves the right to conduct searches for alcohol or drugs, and where there is reasonable cause to suspect a breach, employees will be asked to participate in a drug or alcohol screening programme. Refusing to submit to screening without good cause may have an adverse impact on the outcome of disciplinary action.
