Working From Home (WFH)
Ad Hoc and Non-Contractual WFH
- Working from home, if it is not your standard contractual arrangement, is only allowed with approval from your line manager.
- The same rules for working core hours apply when working from home.
- Ad hoc WFH is allowed but must be arranged at least the day before (not on the day). This should be limited to no more than a couple of times per month and requires prior approval from EJ.
Regular WFH Arrangements
- If you are contracted to work from the office, you may be able to WFH on pre-agreed days each week, but this is a non-contractual arrangement.
- This arrangement must be agreed and approved by Emma.
- The agreed WFH days must be consistent each week.
- You cannot work from home more than two days a week unless a specific agreement is in place. Any request to go beyond two days must be discussed and agreed in advance with Emma.
- If WFH is part of your regular pattern and you want to change your usual day(s), this must be raised with EJ in advance (not on the day).
WFH During Illness
- If you request to WFH because you feel too unwell to work from the office, you are still expected to perform all standard work duties, including client calls and internal meetings, with the same level of professionalism. If you are not able to do this, you must instead take the time off as sick leave.
Travel Restrictions
- Any travel that is not for client visits, travel to the office, or other work-related commitments during core working hours must be taken as holiday.
- Working from a train, plane, or bus is not appropriate because you cannot guarantee internet/phone signal, client confidentiality, or a comfortable, ergonomic working environment.
